Sidbury made a splash as a reserve end as a freshman, finishing the year with 24 tackles, four for loss, and three sacks. As a sophomore the numbers dipped a bit, finishing with just 17 tackles, 5.5 for loss, and one sack. He began to fulfill his potential as a junior, where he tallied 40 tackles, eight for loss, and 4.5 sacks. The light turned on for Sidbury as a senior, and he came through with a dominating campaign. He had 56 tackles, 20 for loss, and 11.5 sacks leading the Spiders to the FCS title.

Strengths

Sidbury is an impressive looking athlete. He has a sturdy frame, but appears to have even more room to fill out. He also has long arms and it helps keep defenders from getting into his chest to contain him at the point of attack. On the field, he is quick up the field, and has a lot of pass rush potential. He plays with great balance, and has a knack for applying pressure on the quarterback. His go to move is his spin move, and he does a good move maintaining his progress towards the QB coming out of his spin. H

Weaknesses

Sidbury is a bit short for defensive end in the league. He has trouble at the point of attack, and will need to get stronger to play against the r un. His upside may be limited to a situation pass rusher if he cannot get stronger. There is the potential for him to stand up in a 3-4 alignment, but he may lack the closing speed to play that position.

Future

Sidbury became one of the best pass rushers at his level as a senior, and it made scouts take notice. He has the pass rush ability to find a home in the league, but he needs to improve his all around game to see the field on more than just passing downs. Sidbury had a very good combine, giving him a shot to hear his name called in the second round in April. He showed some closing speed that maybe wasn’t expected of him. He clocked a 4.64 40, which was the fastest of all ends and was faster than most linebackers. His performance helped him show teams that he may be able to play in a 3-4 at the next level, which enhances his draft stock.
